Policy parameters are the money rules management has agreed: the lowest cash balance allowed, how many days the company takes to pay suppliers, and what retention is usually held. They are not transactions; they are the limits other data is judged against.
The Finance Agent uses them for warnings, for example when the balance is forecast to fall below the minimum in the next 90 days.
Where the numbers come from
- A director’s or owner’s decision on minimum cash.
- The payment terms usually agreed with suppliers.
- Client contracts for retention and the maintenance period.
Columns and how to fill them
Tab Parameter_Kebijakan in the free finance template. The examples are fictional. Illustrative management decisions. Enter only approved policies; leave undecided values blank. These example figures are not policy recommendations.
| Column | Example | How to fill it |
|---|---|---|
| Saldo kas minimum | 50000000 | B5: total reserve floor in IDR, not the actual bank balance. |
| Saldo minimum per rekening utama | 10000000 | B6: per-account floor. May be blank when only the total floor is used. |
| Horizon proyeksi kas | 90 | B7: forecast horizon in days. This example uses 90 days. |
| Rata-rata hari penagihan (DSO) | 30 | B8: leave blank when calculated from Riwayat_Pembayaran; do not guess. |
| Termin pembayaran standar ke supplier | 30 | How many days you usually take to pay a supplier after the bill arrives, for example 30. The agent uses it when a bill has no due date. |
| Persentase retensi standar | 5 | B10: enter 5 for this 5% example, matching the template’s % unit. Follow the contract. |
| Masa pemeliharaan standar | 6 | The maintenance period in months, for example 6. Retention is usually released after it. |
| Tanggal posisi data (as-of) | 30/09/2026 | B12: enter as a date. Align balances and outstanding documents to this cutoff. |

How to check it
- Every figure is approved by management; undecided ones are left blank.
- Percentages are entered as numbers (5 for 5%), as the column expects.
- The as-of date matches the cut-off date of the other tabs.
Common mistakes
- Entering the actual bank balance as the minimum cash balance. Actual balances belong in Saldo_Bank_Input.
- Guessing the average collection days. Leave it blank if it will be worked out from Riwayat_Pembayaran.
- Keeping the template’s example figures as policy.

Common questions
What is a sensible minimum cash balance for a project?
Usually enough for a few weeks of regular spending, for example two weeks of wages and supplier bills. It is a management decision, not a fixed formula.
What is DSO?
Days Sales Outstanding: the average number of days from sending an invoice to being paid. It can be worked out from Riwayat_Pembayaran.
What if there is no policy yet?
Leave the field blank. Blank is better than a guess that gets treated as policy.
