Wages are the largest regular cost on many projects, and they leak most often through attendance filled in later and advances with no record. Simple daily records prevent both, and also give productivity data for the next tender.
- Skilled Rp5.40 m
- Labourers Rp5.76 m
- Foreman Rp1.08 m
- Overtime Rp0.60 m

Recording advances
- Record every advance when it is given: date, name, amount, signatures of the person receiving and the person giving it.
- Write the repayment plan, for example Rp250,000 a week, and the balance left each week.
- For labour-contract crews, record advances against the labour contract and compare them with the value of work from the site measurement. Advances above the work value mean the crew has been paid ahead.
- Keep proof of wage payments: a signed receipt list or transfer slips.

Common mistakes
- Attendance filled in at the end of the week from memory.
- Advances given without a signature, and never deducted.
- Wages recorded in two places (Gaji_Upah and Pengeluaran), so they are counted twice.
- Daily-paid and labour-contract crews mixed in one list.

Common questions
How are weekly wages for daily workers worked out?
Days present × each person’s daily rate, plus overtime, minus advance deductions.
How should crew advances be recorded?
Record the date, name, amount and signatures when given, then the deduction and balance each week.
What about advances to labour-contract crews?
Compare them with the value of work from the site measurement. If the advances are larger, the crew has been paid ahead.
